Amongst the many recent inventions for the saving of labour, there is none, perhaps, more far-reaching than that which has revolutionised the steel industry. It is the discovery of a process by which steel may be rendered impervious, to rust or tarnish, thereby extending the life of steel goods indefinitely, at the same time giving a beautiful lustrous surface which is permanent. Advantage of this discovery was soon taken by cutlery, manufacturers, with the modern "Rusnorstain" as the ultimate result. This is the highest form of stainless steel attained, it does stain when used in acid foods, vinegar, fruit, or -the like, and it does not rust if left in a damp state. This means a great saving of labour and knife-cleaning drudgery, and the life of such cutlery is practically everlasting. Petersen's, Limited, Jewellers, of High street, have been very fortunate in landing supplies of this world-famous product, just as its export from England was prohibited. There are, of course, inferior imitations on the market, but for a high-grade article which retains its fine cuting edge, the "RusnorsTain" has no competitors. A half-dozen each of table and dessert knives, as a Christmas gift is a present long to be remembered. This la£t word in cutlery may be seen to-day in the windows of Petersen's, Limited, the Jewellers of Repute. 11
