Lister died of pneumonia in a London hospital a i'ew days ago: Captaig Lister was Stewart demonstrator in in Melbourne University, and medical tutor at Trinity .College. He first volunteered for medical military service nearly three years ago.
News has been received of the death of Lieut.-Colonel A. McG. McLaurin, commanding officer of the Bth Australian Light Horse Regiment, of pneumonia, "at the 74th Casualty Clearing Station, Palestine. Colonet McLaurin served, on Gallipoli, going through the famons charge at Walker's Ridge, and afterwards in Palestine. He was an original Bth Light Horso officer, and went right through the war with the regiment. In-pre-war days he conducted a vineyard in the Rutlierglen district, Victoria.
Mr and Mrs Huxford. of Milford, have received advice that their son, Trooper G. W. Huxtord, who is now in Palestine, is returning liome. Trooper Huxford left with the 34th. Reinforcements.
Mrs P. A. Syme, Springbum, has received word that her brother, Private E. Browa, who has been on active service for two years, has been invalided borne, and is expected to arrive at an early date. Another hrotlier, Private *T. Brown, -who left with tlie Twentyfirst Australian Reinforcements '.n 1916, will also arrive shortlr.
Mr E. G. Church, Ashburton. has received advice that Private W. R. Trcnside has been admitted to hospital in France on account of illness. He left with the Eighteenth Reinforcements.
Flight-Lieutenant Roy Burns, son of Mrs M. H. Carr, of Auckland, and grandson of the late Mr and Mrs W.. L. •Roth, was killed on tho 16th inst. in an aeroplane accident. He left New Zealand e Body, and was wounded at Galhpoli. He was afterwards sergeant in chargc of the motor garage in Hornchurch Oamp, and later joined the flyincr Corps. Before lie went to tha front he vras in the Auckland City Fire Brigade, and voluniered from there. He was educated at the Normal and Grammar Schools.
