WELLINGTON, November 14. A tramway accident occurred last evening, resulting in the death of Alfred Thomas, a gasworks employee. Two cars were approaching the intersection of the lines from Island Bay and Kilbirnie in Kent terrace. The Kilbirnie car somehow failed to stop, and crashcd I into the other, which was approaching tho points. Several passengers wero thrown about. Thomas fell between tho cars, and was terribly crushed. No one , else was seriously hurt. A collision between two motor-cars at Kilbirnie resulted in injuries to two men—W. Neiman and Sergeant O'Neill —necessitating hospital treatment. I>UNEDN, November 14. A fatal accident occurred between Burke's and St. Leonards to-day, when William Richardson, 10 years of age, wliq. was learning to rid© a bicycle, ran into a motor-car driven by Smith, a farmer, of Sawyer's.Bay. The car ran oyer, the boy, killing him.
