! A RETURNED SOLDIERS' SHOW j CAMPAIGN. There is a tent at the Show Grounds just opposite tho secretary's offico with the sign emblazoned thereon; "Quick March." This is the location of the Now Zealand Returned Soldiers Association, which is to-day making a special effort to bring under the nonco of the people of Canterbury the policy, ideals, and ideas which are its special aim. "Quick March" is the official mouthpiece of the U.S.A., and it is conducting a lively campaign to sst forth that which should be grantod to those who havo assisted in the battles of the Empire. Much thero is to be done in ihe matter of the assurante of their" claims, and those at the head of the organisation do not" think that they will seek the assistance of the. public in viun. Among the Association s ideals are: The promotion of the welfare of members and their dependants; the perpetration, in the civil life of the nation, of the principles for which they have fought; the obtaining of all advantages by united action which each separate association or individual members would have more difficulty in obtaining in its or- their separate capacity, and thereby on all occasions seeing that members are .treated with absolute justice-and equity; assisting ;n I tlie repatriation of returned men—(a) agricultural, (b) manual, (c) civil, and (d) industrial; paying special attention to the needs and interests of totally or partially disabled men; the giving of advice to returned men who contemplate beginning in business* trades, professions, or farming, or in the adoption of new occupations; the giving of advice to returned men regarding the many problems of pensions, medical treatment, and such like that confront them ; and whero possible assisting relatives of fallen comrades. In order to understand better the aims of the Association a visit should lie paid to the Association's "Quick-March" tent, where all information will be' obtainable. Here will bo' found" a'number of the principal officers of the Association,. assisted by voluntary workors from various organisations. A primary obiect of the camnairm is to secure subscribers for "Quick March," and to liven up public interest in all that stands for. 1
