A correspondent writes to a London paper of September 2nd:—l hear that the R.A.F. has appointed a pilot to attempt tho Atlantic flight, and the great . machine which he will use is nearing completion. lam not at liberty to give I the name of the airman, but may say he is an Australian. For obvious seasons, if the R.A.F. is to win the distinction it is seeking, it will he unwise to say anything about the construction of the machine. Airmen, however, describe it as "a pcrfect beauty."
