4 (FBESS ASSOCIATION TELEGI.AU.) DUNEDIN, November 5. The criminal sittings of the Supreme Court commenced this morning, before his Honour Mr Justice Sim. "Waiter William Gobbitt was sentenced to detention for a term not exceeding five years for fraudulently obtaining and for forgery. • Jean Elizabeth Preen was found guilty of theft and sentenced to detention for four years for reformative treatment.
