♦ • MINISTER-S' SPEECHES. (Australian and N./j. Cable Atsocia'ion.) LONDON, Novcmbor 1. Sir Auckland Goddes, Director-Gene-ral of National Service, in a speech at a luncheon of the Federation of British Industries, said that tht> most urg°.nt problem after the >rar would be that of national health Nothing was more appalling than the results of the military service medical examinations. Hundreds of thousands of men of military age had been found to be dying from preventable tuberculosis. He was not surprised at tho industrial unrest; he only wondered that there had not been a revolution years ago. Wo had tnkon more interest in prize pigs than in British manhood. \ Dr. Addison, Minister of Reconstruction, said that the Government's first business after the war must be tho reosfcablishment and protection of basic industries and tho liberation of raw ms>.terial&. Industiy roust be freed at the earliest possible moflient.
