PROGRESS LEAGUE.

AN IMPORTANT CONFERENCE.

The Canterbury Progress League which was formed as the outcome of a ; resolution carried at a conference of i local bodies, will hold another conference on Thursday next, at 10 a.m., at which the provisional executive will re- ' port progress. The organisation or focal Bodies ia now virtually complete, and before • proceeding to the organisa- ' tion of branches the executive is seeking the approval of the delegates for the draft constitution and rules. At the same time tho question of local boundaries will be raised, and there will bo a discussion concerning the future programme. An invitation has been extended to all members of local bodies in the distriot to be present.
