Allan, who comes from Christchurch, has been for th 2 past ten years in tho Falkland Islands, managing an esxato th.ere. He came to England during tlje war, and hfl« a son a lieutenant in the R.A.F. Mr Gilbert Anderson has been a member of the Executive Committee of the N.Z. War Contingent Association from its formation, and is a member of the Military Contraots Board of the X.Z.E.F. Mr and Mrs Burnett and Miss Burilelt have done invaluable work in connexion with the Soldiers' Club. Mrs A. R. Cappel has been entertainments manager for tho War Contingent Association at "Walton Hospital for a year past. Mrs d'Arcy Chaytor, who is about to leave for Egypt, was in charge of the canteen of the Association in Southampton Row. Mis 3 E. Close made a donation of £1000 for tho formation of tho Officers' Club for the N.Z.E.F. in Hill street. Mr. .1. H. B. Coates is chairman of the Financo Committeo of the War Contingent Association. Miss Dinneen, after being employed . for some time in the War Contingent canteens, went, to do similar duty for the Y.W.C.A. in France. Mrs Empson. wife of Mr Walter Empson (formerly of Wanganui College), lia3 done excellent voluntary work since the beginning of tho war in connexion with the War Contingent Association and hospital visiting. Lady Findlay has also been a hospital visitor. Mrs M. Findlay (wife of Colonel Findlay, Mounted Rifles), has been three years in England, and has now returned to New Zealand. Lady Hardwicko (nee Miss IT. Russell, Auckland) has, since tho beginning of the war, beeiVono of the most valuable members of the N.Z. War Contingent Association, and for most of that period was a very successful chairman of tho Hospitality Committee. Mrs D. E. Herbert is tho wifo of Colonel Herbert, of P^ketahuna. Mr and Mrs C. Knight presented to tho N.Z. War Contingent Association the two houses in Brighton, in which were established convalescent home3'for New Zealand officers. Mr R. M. Macdonald (Christchurch) succeeded Mr J. C. N. Grigg (Ashburton) as chairman of the Clubs Committeo of the Association. He had previously done * great deal of work on other committees. Mr _R. D. D. McLean was one of the committee of tho hospital at Walton-oa-Thames and of the Soldiers' Club, and he has throughout been a hard-working member of the executive, besides doing a great deal of work in other channels altogether. .Sir James Mills wds formerly chairman of the Finance Committee. Miss Rosemary Rees (Gisborne) had charge of tho entertainments branch when it was first established. Mrs Arthur Russell, who was a daughter of tho late Mrs T. C. Williams, of Wellington, -was an indefatigable and very capable worker for the first two and a half years of the Association, and only gave up when compelled to do bo owing to her health breaking down. Her daughter, Miss Ida Russell, wa3 associated with her, and hoa since been in the Association. Mrs L. F. Warren (daughter of the late Archdeacon Williams) was associated chiefly v..h tho Te Whare Puni Club, at Hornchurch. -idrs M. "West (also a Miss Rees, Gisborne) managed for some time the Mahutonga Club, at Hornchurch, and is now on tho staff of the Soldiers Club, in Russell square. Mrs M. Wilder has managed successfully for some time different clubs belonging to the Association. Mr A. E. Williams was for a considerable period secretary of the Association. He is about to Teturn. to New Zealand, and win probably live at Napier. Mr and Mrs W. H. Young (Edinburgh) have represented the War Contingent Association in the Scottish capital throughout ana soldiers visiting Scotland have invariably paid high testimony to the splendid and dis. interested work they have done. Mrs E. Wrigley is lie wifo of Mr F J. Wrigley (of Messrs Wingate and Burns) Auckland. "

Mr C. .T. AVrav (Wanganui) was employed by the Association as organising, secretary but has for some time past been on the personal staff of the High Commissioner and has had charge of the Prisoners of "\y ar Department.
