The bar at Orreymouth Imm been unworkable for the past several dayß, and in oonsequenoe several vessels have beas bar-bound there, attiotigst these being the colliers Kotuku'and Karamn, both with oo»l for Lyttelton. It was hoped to despatch t&6m y<*teTday for their djestination. The Wootton should put in as appearance here to-day, brinpin? a cargo of eeaaral merchandise fr6m Wellington. She retards north with cargo to-morrow. The Walratu has been undergoing doming and painting at Wellington. . She will probably arrive at Lyttelton to-night. TheyMonowai, having been detained by rainy weather in the north, may not reach Lyttelton on Sunday, her dne date. It wa4 expected to have her ready for departure from Auckland yesterday, but in any event it is unlikely that she will make this port until cirly nest week. Captain McPherson has taken command of the Mana, sccceedrtur Captain Connor. Mr George Knowles, chief officer of the Kimo, hae signed off. Mr Looney has joined the Kini as chief engineer in place of Mr M. McNeill. Mr W. Jti. SteTena, mate of the Wootton, has signed off the vessel's j article?. j WELLINGTON-SYDNEY SERVICE. On her next trip from Sydney the Riverim will proceed to Auckland (instead of Wellington), and will return thence to Sydney. The veMtl will henceforth make alternate trips from Sydney to Wellington and from Sydney to Auckland, proceeding to Hobart in both instances.
