FIRES.
—♦ — The City Fire Brigade a caU at 4.57 p.m. yesterday to 48 Cariy street, Sydenham, wherej was discovered tn a bedroom of a cot tage occupied by Mr S.McGeorge. art was soon 'extinguished and tha damage done was very slight, ana should be covered by about £0. - The Brigade received another call at ]0.25 p m. yesterday to the premises of Messrs Rose and Co., leadlight manufacturers, at tho corner of ruam and Madras streets. A small fire was discovered at the back, a door being partially burnt, but very little damage was done.
