MEETINGS AND SOCIALS.
CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH BECKENHAM. Tho sixth anniversary services of Uio lennyson street Church were well attended. The Revs. J. Patterson, P. Blamires, and V*. Tanner conducted tho respective services. At tho annuaA meeting of members and adherents tho Row W. Tanner presided. Addresses were given by the chairman and tho Rev. A. Job, and musical items by the choir, Misses Sherriff, Field, W. Lean, and "\V. J. C. McL-ean. Air G. Robinson rend tho 'annual reports of -tho various church organisations, which disclosed a very healthy state 01 progress. Tho treasurer read the .financial statement, which was very satisfactory, the year commencing with a deficit and ending with a small balance. Hearty votes of thanks were passed to tho Rev. Tanner, the Church offioers, and tho members of the various organisations who had done such good work during the year. Special mention was made of the 'work of tho choir, and tho valuable services rendered by it under tho ab!o leadership of Mr J. C. McLean. Refreshments were handed round. BARROW FAIR. A -very successful barrow fair was held by the ladies of the Sydenham Methodist Church in aid of the school renovation fund. The homely garden barrow played an important part, being so adorned and bedecked that its beat friend would not recognise it. Theso were used a la coster in place of stalls for the sale of goods. After tho fair had been declared open by the Mayor, a grand march of all the barrows took place, and was very effective. Prizes for the best decorated barrow were awarded by the Mayor to Choir Ist, Girls' Bible Class 2nd, C.E. 3rd. Good business wa3 done with tho largo gathering present, the pie cart with its ' toothsome saveloy being especially busy. Tho proceeds of tho fair are highly satisfactory, being about £70. IVY OP LLXWOOD LODGE. At the last meeting of tho Ivy of Linwood Lodge No. 13 U.A.0.1)., A.D. Bro. Chambers was in tho chair. Three candidates were initiated. Bro. Logge's reports on four meetings of the Benevolent Association and Card Association were received and adopted. It was resolved that* letters of sympathy-be forwarded to Sister Johnson, Bros. Blake arid Poison in their bereavements.
