Hawkes reported that thoChrirW church Tramway Troup® had offered to gin a conoert at Woolston, instead of at Heath* cote, for which arrangements had boon mfcde. Tho chairman said a party of thirty:waa going down to Timaru on tho 13th, and the "Merrio Countric Cousins 1 ' oxpoctcd to clear a sum for the fund. A big sports carnival in connexion with tho Tramway Copper Trail will bo held Sydenham Park on Saturday, commencing; at 2.30 p.m. A very attractive programme hM been arranged, including fancy dree* hookey matches, League football trial matches, baoy show, tug-of-wnr, cooking competition, and various athletic events lor young and old. A flower stall, afternoon tea tent, and aidsshows will be on the fc/ntriea, which aro free, will V>e received by the hon. secretary (Mr W.
