It is wonderful how our airmen seem to delight in. leavening a hazardous and daring piece of work with a sense of humour (says a London paper). An R.A.F. major recently flew over an enemy aerodrome at a low height and fired on the hangars to attract attention. Ho then dipped a parcel with this message inside:—"if you won't com© up hero and fight, herewith one . pair of boots for work on the ground. Pilots—for the use of." Getting into e the mist, ho waited till a party of men f. had collected to examine the parcel, x and dropped two bombs, one burst _ being observed near tbo target. He _ then fired two rounds into the troops, t scattering theiu and causing a general J panic.
