Under new regulations for admission to the diplomatic and consular service (says the Rome correspondent of the London "Daily News") shorthand is made an obligatory subject in all examinations. The maximum marks for shorthand are €00, equal to the maximum for French, modern history, and geography. Shorthand will Jin -future be considered as the most important subject after international lav.
