Cardinal Bourne, speaking at London at the end of June, said that so far as anyone con Id foresee the future, all the great lands in which missions to the pagan world had to be earned on would be almost exclusively in the future under the political influence of tiio English-speaking nations, or of those who were allied with them in the preeeui war.
