AMERICA AT WAR
THE PRICE OF WHEAT.
(By Cable. —Preaa Association.—Copyright.) (Australim and Cable Association.) NEW YORK, September 3. President Wilson has announced that the n'csfiiit price of wheat, 200 cents, will be applied to the 1919 crops, unless inrestiga-uon discloses the necessity for an increase. It is difficult to guwrfntee the price a vear ahead, because, if there should be peace, Europe t would take advantage of the hngo stocks of grain in Australia, India, and the Argentine. This would mean that the United States would face a loss of 500,000.000 dollars through inability to sell the surplus for the high price guaranteed. UNITED STATES iiXPENDITURE FOR AUGUST.
