A cable message from Sydney says that Nanna ha s been scratched for the Epsom and Metropolitan Handicaps. Our London correspondent says that "Gareth" in the "Referee" becomes humorous over the card of the Whataki race meeting in New Zealand, which aa anonymous correspondent has sent him. For most of the races tW prizes were sheep, bags of chaff, pigs, and flour, and "Gareth" is much exercised over the apparent variation in their relative values. In the Kara . race, for example, a cow seems to be third pnze, after a sheep and three bags of chaff. (Bt ' 'Seabchliqht.'
