After the handling of her' cargo has been competed at Wellington she will be despatched for Lyttelton, and will probably arrive hero- on Friday. Mr Thomas Brown, late'of tho steamer Hincmoa, has joined the Waimea as second officer, succeeding Mi F. Scott. Mr D. E. Bredney, "third ottioer of the Mooraki, lias been appointed to a similar position on tho Niagara. • • • • - Tho Monowai left Lyttelton yesterday for Dunedin, and will return to port from , tho South on Friday, Bailing for Northern East Coast ports'on Saturday. Owing to the Manuka's "lato arrival at Wellington from' Sydney, the vessel will now not bo ready for despatch on hor return journey to Australia before Friday.. • •- Tho' Union Company's collier Kittawa -s. expected to leave Greymouth to-day laden with coal for discharge at Lyttelton. Tho vessel should put in an appearance here on Friday. Captain C. Ipsen, of tho schooner Lily, is signing offff tho vessel ot. Lyttelton,' with tho intention, it is understood, of signing on «. steamer. The collier Canopus left Lyttelton. yesterday afternoon, bound lor Weetport, where it is probable that she will ship another load of coal for this port. The Tainui, with cargo from Tokomaru Bay, will probably arrive at Lyttelton on Friday. The Kamona having completed the discharge of heir cargo of coal-from Greymouth, sailed yesterday on a retura voyage to the West Coast. ■ i
