» SHIELD FOR SMARTEST CORPS IN DOMINION. The Passmore Challenge Shield presented by Mr J. L. Passmore, of Dunedin, to the best drilled and smartest turned-out secondary school cadet contingent in the Dominion, lias been awarded to the Christ's College Cadets for training during 1917-18. The shield, which has been competed for by all the secondary ichool cadet corps in tho Dominion, was awarded to Christ's College upon the recommendation of the Director of Military Training (Lieut.-Colonel J. L. Sleeman, 1.G.5.). He will present the shield to the officers and noncommisioned officers of the Christ's College Cadets at the Burnham Refresher Camp to-day.
