Apparently the police strike is fairly general .in London. It developed suddenly at midnight. WOMEN TRAM AND BUS WORKERS' WAGES. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) (Router's Telegrams.) LONDON, August 30. The Pres9 Bureau states: —The Committee on Production have awarded the women tramway and omnibus workers an advance of 25s weekly over pre-war rates, thus equalising their rates with those of male workers. The Government has appointed a committee to investigate and report on the relations between the wage 3of womon and men generally.
