ANEW departure in law reporting waa introduced at the Price Fixing Commission, which had just finished its sittings in Sydney. The whole of the evidence for the official report was taken on the Stenotype. The ease, rapidity, and silence with which, the machine is operated was effectively demonstrated.- The notes folded themselves into slips, to be torn off and taken away to the typist, who reads tUe printed shorthand notes.
