The Wellington team arrived yesterday morning, and indulged in a practico game during tie afternoon. Judging by appearances tlie team is a very strong one, and should bo a good match for tho local representatives. Since playing Otago, the Canterbury team has been greatly strengthened, and it can bo safely said that to-duy's game will be exceptionally inat and cxcitisg. The giound has been carefully dressed, and as a result of the fine weather prevailing during the week, it should be in first-class condition. R. E. Boag will captain the Canterbury team, ana Mr J. Wanganui Collegiate School, Wellington College, and Christ's College take part in the tournament, which was won last year by tho local fifteen, and as each team has a fine record this year, a very good competition should result. Tho present Christ's Collego fifteen contains as good football material as the School has yet produced although the backs aro not quite bo "nippy" bb their individual qualities deserve, but on the whole, the team is a very "solid" one for a school combination and is sure to give a good account of itself.
