Mr J. A. Frostick, Canterbury Com missioner on the National Efficiency Board, visited Leeston yesterday foi the purpose of conferring with th« Ellesmere Advisory Committee. At the last meeting of the Canterbury Education Board seventeen application: were received for the .« -iition of headmaster of the Hokitika school, vice Mi L. F. de Berry, transferred to Mar ton, The Board resolved to send'the names oi the following three teachers to the Hokitika School Committee for recom mendation as to a selection:—Messrs John Brunton (Southbrook), Wilfred Garton (Abaroa),and Henry L. Wilson (Kaikoora).
