UTILISATION 7 OF FREIGHT SPACE. (PRESS ASSOCIATION- TTTTfiWAM.) AUCKLAND, August 10. The Chamber of Commerce discussed the question of oversea vessels which come from Australia to New Zealand with cartro snaeo unutilised. Tt was stated that the Hon. A. M. > T yers bod said that oversea vessels could not be used for New Zetland eariro w'+houf conflicting with Admiralty instructions, and that any de'nv to these vessels would not be justified. The opinion was expressed tbnt if New Zealand shippers knew thftt a vo-sel was due to leave Sydney bv ft certain dnte, they should be able to nri-an<re for shipments. IP was resolved to a«k the Government if its representatives in Sydney could inform New Zealand imnorters, thmnpli the Government, of the d*te of 'l->narture of oversea vessels to this country.
