LYTTELTON NEWS
INDOOR BOWLING. A spccial match was played on the Kia Ora rink on Tuesday evening, between the members of the Lyttelton (Social) C.ub and the Kia Ora Bowling Club. Two rinks from each club took part, both matches being played tho same evening. The to.lovring players participated in the first game: — J. Luiaro, E. Green, J. Jlohar, E. li. Henderson is), representing the Lyttelton Ciub, and W. ilcAuliffe, R. Dun.op, J. McCormick, and D. Sinclair \s) played for tho Kia Ora Club. The game resulted in an easy win for the latter rink, scoring 21 points against the opposing team's 7 points. Tho second game was a very close.y contested one, tho personnel of tho Lyttelton Hub's rink being:—J. Stanley, H. Blackler, D. Page, S. Sinclair (s), the Kia >~ra rink consisting of J. Burnip, J. Bromley, H. uarnard, and J. Young (s). At tho conclusion of the 21st head both rinks had scored 17 points. A deciding head, which was keenly contested, was played. Before the lust bowl was played for tho Lyttelton Club the Kia Ora rink was lying 2, but a nicely-drawn bowl by S. Sinclair gave his rink a lead of one point, which, however, was reversed by J. Youn,j for tHe Kia Ora rink, wnich won the game by 18 points to 17. The match was won by the Kia Ora link by 42 points to 24 aggrogate points. A PRESENTATION by the Citizens of Lyttelton to GEORGE M.
