MONTHLY MEETING. Tho Hospital Board met yesterday. Pre-•i-.'iit—Messrs i\ Horrell (chairman), I. Anjrow, H. B. Sorensen, D McMiilan, W. ~P. Sponcer, W. H. Cooper, W. J. Walter, H. J. Otley, the Hon. K. Moore, M.L.C-., JUesdames Green, Christie, and Wilson. The Hospital Committee's report (which was adopted) stated that accommodation for about ten 'diphtheria eases had been provided at Kaikoura. Sirs Co in mine, who has been omployed for 20 years in the hospital laundry, was granted six months' leave of absence on full pay on the occasion of her retirement. Tho Institutions Committee's report (which was adopted), stated that considerable difficulty waa experienced in getting suitable coal "for cooking at the institutions, but had been _ made to the Coal Trade Committee,, and it was anticipated that sufficient good coal would be released to holp tho Board out of its difficulties. Tho Charitable Aid Committee reported that relief had been granted in respect of fifteen now cases. The report waa adopted.
