TRAMWAY COPPER TRAIL.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of the' Xady Liverpool Ttench Comforts Fund Tramway Copper Trail was held, last night, Mr A. S. Clarkson being voto.i i to the chair, in the absenco, through indisposition, at Mr L. B. ilart. There waa a good attendance. Apologies from Messrs Hart, H. Sweney, and £'. W. Jones were received. The Entertainment Committee submitted a report, in the course of which it wag recommended that, in respect to -any street collections, the collectors should be provided with official sealed boxes. This was agreed to, and it was also decided that the Finance Committee should confer with the Entertainment Committee a« to the financial arrangements in connexion with the concerts to be given in aid of the Trail. The, report was ; adopted. | Mr W. E. D. Bishop submitted the report of the Finance Committee, which recommended that Timaru should come into the scheme •on the same term* aB any other district. Tk>kets for each tramway district are to be forwarded to Timaru, and will be issued by the local secretary, the Timaru executive to make arrangements for the disposal of the tickets, and remit the proceeds to Christchurch. The report was adopted. Mt J. A. Collins, for the Visiting Committee, reported the formation of local committees at Linwood, Beckenham, Sydenham, and Sumner. The report was adopted, and the committee waa asked to consider the matter of joining Heathcote Valley and'Lyttelton to the Sumner district. . On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr A. C. Maxwell it waa decided: "That a committee at three be appointed to wait on the executive of the Bed Cross Onr • Day appeal, to ask them to postpone launohing their Copper Trail till September let, 'and to offer the assistance of the Tramway Copper Trail executive in connexion with the Bed Cross 'Our Day' Copper Trail." Messrs A. S. Clarkson, J. A. .-Collins, uid A. C. Maxwell were appointed to wait on the "Our! Day" executive. Mr M. Woodfield reported on the step# taken in Spreydon in connexion with the Trail. ' The Visiting Committer waa asked to take steps to organise committees in Ix>wer and Upper Riccarton. . ... It was decided, in connexion with the concerts under the control of the Entertainment ■ Committee, that tbo purchaser of each 2a ticket receive 12 one penny tiokote, and of each Is ticket 6 one penny tickets. i It was decided that supplies of tickets should be forwarded to the public schools 1 i by Moad*" next r
