RUPTURE AND ITS TREATMENT. • ' Sir A. W. Martin, Rupture Specialist and Sole Controller- of Dr. J. A. Shermah's Method of Treatment, has j arrived in Christchurch from Dunodin, 1 and may be consulted free, up to Fri- | day, the 2nd of August, when he will < I leave for Wellington. The Dr. Sher- j man method of treating rupture is diametrically opposed to the ordinary truss Bystem, which exerting a downward pressure, pushes the ruptured walls apart and increases the trouble. Thus, when once worn, it has to oe worn a lifetime. On an exactly oppoj site principle ,the Dr. Sherman method , exerts an upward, "contractile" pres-| sure, immediate relief is given, and the ; rupture gradually becomes smaller and . smaller, until permanent cur© is the result. As no two cases are alike, per- ; sonal attendance is necossary. Sufferers in the country districts should take a day off for the sake of scientific treatment. Send for free booklet, ' "Rupture and its Treatment." It contains information of vital importance for all afflicted* 1
