SUMMARY AND FORECAST. A storm turea passed in the south on Saturday and Sunday, with strong- southerly winds. Anti-cyclonic conditions have succoedcd it. with cold and changeable conditions, but a disturbance iB now in evidenoo north-cast of Ntw Zealand. Present indications aro for hirfi and southeasterly _ winds northwards of Farewell Spit and Kaikourn, and sontherly breezes elsewhere. Squally and showery conditions may be expected in the North and Eost Coast districts of the North Island, and cold and changeable conditions elsewhere. Tho barometer has a falling tendency in the k'ortb, but little •movement is probable elsewhere.-'
