CASUALTIES.
While out rabbit-shooting yesterday, a youth, named H. Smith, residing in Trafalgar street-, St. Albans, received a gunshot wound in the thigh. . He was brought into town and admitted to the Hospital. (rnEss association: telegrams.) PAHIATUA, March 10. Donald McLachlan, 50, single, was killed on the Rimu road, Pongaroa, today. He was driving a three-horso team, when one of the horses became unmanageable, being frightened by a passing motor-car. The dray tipped <jyer a steep bank. McLachlan feh underneath, being severely crushed. He died almost instantly. BLENHEIM, March 16. The Rev. A. Anglican ministpr at Spring Creek, met with a serious accident last evening. He - was thrown from his horse, and sent to hospital with serious injuries to his chest. He is not expected to recover. * AUCKLAND, March 17. William Cox, married, of Onehuuga, aged 35, died at the hospital yesterday. Deceased, who was employed by cue Totara Milling Company, was working at the Newmarket railway station, and in the course of shunting he fell off a truck, and the wheels passed over both
