RACING AND TROTTING NOTES. (By ''Lookek-On.") The outside cf the course proper at Riccarton was available for fast work on Saturday morning, but X>isdainlul and Scornful were tjie only horses galloped on it, all the .rest boing exercised on tho plough. Wrestler ran six furlongs in lmin 17sec, and Long Range, who was brought home by Sir Fanciful, five in lmin 4sec. Hoatherecte showed more speed than Adjutant- over the first two of a sixfurlong gallop, but at the end Adjutant was holding tho two-year-old very safe. Thames and Missouri ran seven furlongs in lmin 31 2-sth sec, while Gamecock galloped a mile in lmin 46 l-sth sec. Biplane, who was carrying something in the region of Bst, dashed over six furlongs in lmin 14 3-stli sec. He finished well, but, as the time indicates-, was doing his best. Bore and Majestikoff were associatod over seven furlongs, run in lmin 32 3-oth sec. Both were going well all the way, but the mare appeared to finish better than the hurdler. Scornful finished well at the end of a sprint down the straight fivc-furlong course. Euripos was going better than Harlequin at the business end of a spin over seven furlongs. Ho did not jnako as much noise as he did last Tuesday. Lionskin galloped five furlongs in fair time, and Lovesick was given a working gallop over six furlongs.
