The captain of a pilot ' x esscl reached a south-east port ot Englnii recently tells how five seagulls boat from being sunk by a nunc Wo on the bridge the captain noticed ahead some gulls apparently standing in a group just above the waves. He eliang the vessel's course, and on passing tiio birds discovered thai each was perched on one of the live horns of a floating mine.
