Rod Cross. Yesterday afternoon the delegates to the Victoria League were entertained at afternoon lea in the kiosk in the Botanic Gardens. The Dunedin delegates leave for their homes to-day, and the visitors who etill remain in town will be taken for a motoring tour to places of interest near Christchurch today. On Monday morning Mrs CareyHill is giving a morning tea at Clifton for the delegates. Mr and Mrs George Ferguson, Idris road, hare returned after spending a few days in Timaru. Miss E. M. Hunt, who for the past six years has been on the teaching staff of St. Margaret's College, has rusigiied in order to accept a position at St. Mary's, Stratford. Miss Marsden, of Nelson, wlio died on Tuesday, was a native of Nelson. Her main interest in public affairs centred in the Anglican Church, of which she was a devoted member and generous benefactress. The list of her gifts to the Church in the Nelson diocese is lengthy, among her more recent and notable benefactions being £6000 for the endowment of the Bishopric of Nelson, £1000 to the Marsden Centenary Fund, £5000 to the Home Mission P'und, and a similar amount for endowing -a curacy for the Cathedral parish. She was an activo member of the Cathedral Flower Guild and the Cathedral lied Cross Sewing Party.
