• SITTINGS AT KANGIORA. The First Canterbury Military Service Board held a at Kangiora yesterday. Present—Messrs J. S. Evans, S.M. (chairman), J. D. ilillton, E. C. Studholme, and Captain Pilkington (military representative). 1 Time was allowed the following appellants: —F. G. Chapman, Rangiora (June); Lionel R. Oram, Amberley (June); B. McGrath, Ethelton (June); Thomas Gundry, Oxford (June); H. Tregonning, Waiau (Juno); William Fahey Rangiora (May); V. G-. Oldham, Waiau (July); H. .C. Heney, Rangiora (June); T. J2. Shepherd, Amberley (June); S. P. Watkina, Southbrook (Juno); W. McKie, Waiau (May). The appeals of W. L. Orchard, Ohoka, and W. Baker, Kaiapoi, was dismissed. Georgo Vcttc, Loburn, had his appeal adjourned sine die. The appeals of the following were adjourned: —J. T. Bo id Ashley; .T. Schelley Hawarden: J. H. Jones, Scargill; P. W. Smith Waikari; J. Wliitelaw, East Oxford. The following, having been classed C 2, had their appeals, automatically adjourned:—Leslie HeTbert Boyliss, Culverden: Robert Henry Msindonald, East Eyreton; Richard Amor Bag'.ey, Oxford; and Edwin George Dalwood, Ciist.
