Thompson, £9: John Butterfield v. Michael Ronan, £3 17s 3d; Cooper , and Duncan, Ltd. v. J. Fairbairn, os 6d; A. H. Webb v. James Dalzell, £47 > los 6d : John Chambers and Son, Ltd. v. Edward C. Woodham, £6 12s lOd; John* ' ston, Mills and Joyce v. John Moir, £3 17s(Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) NON-SUITED. k The hearing was continued of the case « of Walter Daniel, of Christchurch (Mr Thomas) against E. G. Ballinger, car- ' ricr, of Woolston (Mr Rowe for Mr Acland), claim £7 10s for use and occu pation of a house at Woolston, at the rate of £1 os per wek. The case had previously been adjourned for the Magistrate to consider a point raised by Mr Acland to the effect that flie Magistrate had no jurisdiction in the caso as before the Court, as a matter of title was involved; The Magistrate held that he had the necessary jurisdiction to deal with the case, but found for the defendant and the plaintiff was non-suited, with costs, his Worship remarking that the action should have been brought in the form of one for trespass or eject--1 raent.
