The Press Bureau states:— "Arab forces have carried out successful operations since January Ist-, in the neighbourhood of Maan. "They have occupied a strong position at Abulissal. also at Maghaira, and have compelled the Turks to evacuate the Rish forest, which is a serious blow to their fuel supply for the Medina railway. "After a two days' engagement north of Maan, the Arabs occupied Jurf cdDrawish. They killed 80 men, and captured 200 others. They also took one field-gun.

"British aeroplanes three times bombed Maan."
