CASUALTIES.
SUDDEN DEATH OF UNION SECRETARY. On Saturday afternoon Mr Edward Kennedy, of 57 street, who is well known in Labour circles as secretary of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Labourers' 'Union, etc., died suddenly in tho consulting room of Dr. R. Thomas, Latimer square. Mr Kennedy had not been feeling well for somo time, and he went to consult- Dr. "homas. Ho was speaking to another patient, who was waiting to see the doctor, when he suddenly collapsed and died. The body was taken to tho morgue, and an inquest was opened by "• " • Bishop, Coroner. The inquest was adjourned until 10 o'clock this morning to enable racdical evidence to be obtained. (PRF«S ASSOCIATION TET.EIItAM ) IN VERCARGTLL, December 16. Jonathan Golding, headmaster of the viore School, dropped dead in a motor garago yesterday afternoon, shortly after driving from Gore to Invercargill.
