Dr. Morrison, Foreign Adviser to tho Chinese -Government, who is visjting Australia, points out that China's declaration of "vvar wipes out her treaty engagements, under which she owed Germany £12,600,000, and Austria £600,000 indemnities in connexion with the Boxer trouble. China also recovers possession of the concession areas. China has already 6ent 80,000 coolie labourers to France and England. Practically tho number of Chinese that could be sent to Europe is limitless. It is estimated that 800,000 could be dispatched, subject to transport difficulties being overcome.
