MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Five first offenders were each fined os, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Harrv Bowser, who appeared on remand, was convicted and discharged. A WANDERING VISITOR, John Cullen was charged with being idle and disorderly, having no visible lawful means of support. Senior-Sergeant Wohlman stated that according to the old man's story he had been brought down from Wellington bv his nephew, and left outside a local charitable institution, no provision having been mado for his support. He had wandered away from tho institution, and been knocked down bv a motor-cycle on a country road. He appeared very childish, and it would be unfair to go on with t.he case until enquiries had been made it Wellington. The case was adjourned until Saturday. CIVIL CASES.
