Senator Saulsbury denounces the German propagandists who arc circulating baseless stories of huge Allied losses in an attempt to discourage the sending of troops abroad. Casualty figures are deliberately' falsified, wUereas the truth is that the percentage of losses was never smaller. Tho propagandists are attempting to prove that German military organisations are masterful and superior,'and that it is hopeless to carry on the war against them. Senator Saulsburv urges the Government to suppress the publication of such news. He says that the very foundations of militarism in Germany are rocking, and effective resistance will soon be broken. It needs only a further awakening of the German people to cause a collapse. The Treasury Department is specially appealing to tnc people to subscribe five billion dollars to tho Liberty Loan, so as to greatly eclipse the past German loan. The nearer the total approaches the five billions the farthor will go down the corners of the Kaiser's mouth. ENEMY SUPPLIES SEIZED. v t NEW YORK, October 25. Ihe United States is seizing huge supplies that havo long been held in tho interests of Germany, and which are valued at £100,000,000. Tho cotton alone totals 1,000,000 bales.
