GOLF.
RICHMOND HILL CLUB. The eighth annual meeting of the Richmond Hill Golf Club was held lost night., Mr A. C. Fryer presiding over a fair attendance. The annual report, which* has already been published, was read and adopted. In speaking to tho report, tho chairman congratulated the members on the healthy position of the club. Although the membetahip was not quite so high as tho previous year, nevertheless a very successful season had been experienced. Several improvements had been effected, and a fair amount of permanent work carricd out. The speaker also made feeling reference to tho late Mr H. C. Preston and the late Mr G. K. Webber, who had been killed in action. A vote of thanks was passed to the lady members of the club for assistance on opening day and other occasions.
Dr. G. Gossct was elected a life member of the club.
Tho following officers were elected:—President, Dr. G. Gosoe-t; vico-presidents, Meesm A. C. Fryer and H. Elliot; club captain, Mr J. M. B. Crawford: hon. eecretary and treasurer, Mr "W. E. Best: committee, Messrs F. S. Morrie. T. "W„ Cane, "W. de Thier, W. F. Raphael, and G. W. C. Smitheon; auditor, Mr A. Pullan.
