THE NEW ELECTORAL BOUNDARIES.
NO AMENDING LEGISLATION THIS SESSION.
(SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, October 19. The Prime Minister was asked by Mf Hudson in the Houso of Representatives this afternon if he would bring in legislation to provido against tho , anomalios caused by the fixing of the new electoral boundaries, where it wai snown that tne iiiteiems of residents of certain districts v/ero seriously af* fected thereby. Mr Massey said he did not think any such legislation would bo introduced this session, though he had heard of * number of complaints from different districts. If the Boundary Commis* / sionors, through their chairman, thought such legislation was necessary, it could be introduced next session, but at present the arguments advanced did ■ not appoa] to th© Government as sufficient tp introduce such a change.
