MAGISTERIAL. (Before ilr T. A. B. Bailey, &.M.) MISAPPROPR] ATION. ' Charles Lilly was charged with unlawfully converting £1 Gs 3d to his oivn use, with unlawfully converting to his own use £3 -Is Id, collected ou behalf of his employer. He was convicted and ordered to refund the money stolen, and to report to the- Probation Officer every weeK. CIVIL BUSINESS. RESERVED JUDGMENTS. In Rowe and another (ilr Johnston) v. W. Radcliffe (Mr Cassidy), claim for £'200. reserved judgment, was given, plaintiff being non-suited as to £75 of tho claim, and given judgment for the balance of £100 and interest thereon from January, 1910, at 8 per cent., amounting to £G3, less £13 17s. credited in the claim, a total' of £148 3s, with costs. In Thomas Ponder (Mr Cassidv) v. Thomas William Moore (Mr Gressou), claim £132 8s 3d, in respect of damages sustained by plaintiff in being knocked down by defendant's motor-car, judgment was given for the plaintiff for £100, with costs. A TRAP ACCIDENT. Herbert Bromley (Mr Twvneham) sued Stewart Barr (Mr Johnston) for £30 for damages arising out of a trap accident, plaintiff's horse receiving injuries which resulted in its death. Judgment was given for defendant. SALESMEN'S CLAIMS. The Singer Sewing Machine Co. (Mr Uphain) was sued by Robert Black (Mr Cassidy) for tho recovery of £100 17s 3d, including refund of guarantee bond and fidelity bond, and commission and interest amounting to £48 17s 3d. Defendants paid £01 los Id into Court. James. Gum pa tzes (Mr Cassidy) also proceeded against the Singer Co. (Mr TJpbam) for the recovery of £73 19s 9d. including commissions and interest ana guarantee and fidelity bond funds. Defendants paid £64 0s 8d into Court. _ Judgment was given for. each plaintiff for the amount paid into Court, with the addition of £1 in the case of Gumpatzes, each side to pay its own costs. • '*"
LYTTELTON. (Before Messrs W. C. Cleary and F. W. Anderson, J.P.'s.) Poiry Olorenshaw, for stealing a bottle of oil and a tin of fish, valued at 3s, from a steamer in port, was fined ■£1, in.default 14 days' imprisonment.
