SHIPPING NOTES. l\yan f JiTto master of the steamer Xvuitnnit, has joined another, rcpl;icCaptain Baldwin, who ha 3 gone on holiday leave. The Tarawera will enter the coastal trada this week. She will commence loading at Duncdin to-day, _ and will probably sail tomorrow- for "Wellijislnn nrrd Auckland. The Breeze is dno here from Wuaganui on Thursday and will sail after completing here to Timaru and Duncdin. Tho Storm left Wanganui 011 Saturday for Lyttelton. She is timed to leave this pork to-night for Dnnedin and Timaru, and is due to call here on her return trip north on Thursday. The Opouri. from Greymouth and Tara- . kohc, arrived here yesterday, and is expected to 6ail for Grejrnoutli to-morrow. The Westport Coal Company's steamer Canopus arrived at Lyttelton early yesterday morning with coal from Westpcrt. PASSENGERS FOR AUSTRALIA.
