MA GISTS RIAL. (Before Mr T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. A male and a female first offender were each fined ss, or 24 hours' imprisonment. VAGRANCY. Joseph Smith, alias Carr, admitted a charge of drunkenness, but pleaded not guilty to a charge of being an idle and disorderly person, in that ho li.id no lawful means of support. It was stated that accused loafed about the town doing no work and cadging money. In view of his lengthy list of convictions he was convicted on each charge and sentenced to three months' imprisonment on the vagrancy count. REMANDED. James Alfred Stanley Puller (Mr Cuningham) was remanded till to-mor-row on a charge of indecent exposure at New Brighton. Bail was allowed accused in i'loo, and two sureties of £50 each. Charles Edward Weigel (Mr Cassidy), on two charges of indecently assaulting a male at Christchurch, was remanded till Friday. Bail was refused. CIVIL BUSINESS. In each of the following cases judgment with costs was entered for the plaintiff by default: R. Hannah and Co., Ltd. v. J. T. Piercv, los Cd; W. B. Scott and Co. v. H H Footo, £6 3s 3d; Hiistic, Bull, ' and Pickering, Ltd. v. Douglas Jones. £1 2s 6d; "Walter J. Fowler v. John Barr, £8 l<3s 6d; P. and D. Duncan, Ltd v. A. Gregory, £2 lis sd: W. Strange and Co., Ltd. v. Joh n Eddy, £5 Ss. A DRAPERY BILL. J. Ballantyne and Co. (Mr Hunter) claimed the sum of £3 16s 3d from Susan Fisher (Mr Cassidy), being the balance alleged to be owing for goods supplied. After hearing the evidence his Worship gave judgment for rho plaintiffs for the amount claimed with cost-. '
