Cornocarcnto, 10,000 feet high, in the eastern Treutino, overcoming enormous difficulties. "Wearing skis," ho states, "they approached forts built of solid »co sometimes IS feet thick. Such fantastic conditions are common in this region. The Italians were dressed from head to foot in white, and a vigorous attack resulted in a complete victory for them. ''The surprised Anstrians fled downhill. leaving behind them guns, ammunition, and stores. "It was « small operation skilfully planned and executed, and tho Italians' loss was small. Their victory gives them a position overooking tho enemy."'
