Two strides were made yesterday towards tho completion of the third £1000, sums of £50 each being contributed by Mrs Deans (Riccarton) and Mr George Gerard. This leaves five to come in by to-morrow. The committee is asking the business houses to decorate thei r windows dur ing Baby Week (July 2nd to 7th). and it is hoped, will meet with a good response.
