(11 p.m.), for Wellington. j SHIPPING NOTES. .Mr. IX .Mackenzie has joined the Kakapo. as second mate. . The. Kinj is due at Lytteltoa this week from the Weet Coast with a cargo of coal. The Wootton, which has been undergoing an overhaul at I/yttelton, will be ready to sail for Wellington on Wednesday. The Kittawa is due at' Lyttelton early this week with a cargo of coal from Weatport. • The salvage operations in connexion with refloating the steamer Kotare at Waikawa, on the south coast of Otago.. have been successful, and the vessel is onoe again afloat. The salvaging- of the Kotare is most fortunate, as she" is a 'very "serviceable boat, being an absolutely dry cargo carrier "and of very staunch build.
