FIRES.

MOTOR GARAGE DAMAGED.

Early last evening a fire broko out m Messrs J. Hamlet and Co.'s motor garage, 110 Tuam street, resulting in the destruction of one car, the partial destruction of another, and slight damage to the roof of tho building. The cars were insured in the Liverpool, London and Globe and the New Z?ahina offices. In recognition of the Fire Brigade s services in preventing more serious damage, a donation of £5 to the recreation fund was mado bv Mr Hamlet.
